We are pleased to announce that five of our attorneys have been named to the Super Lawyers list as top attorneys in Oregon for 2022.  Each year, only five percent of the lawyers in the state are recognized by their peers as Super Lawyers.
Kim McGair was selected by her peers for inclusion for the fourth time in the area of business litigation; she was also previously selected as a Rising Star in 2008, and 2010-2013. Kim litigates a wide array of matters, including business disputes, consumer law defense, personal injury defense, real estate litigation, employment law, and commercial collection. Over the past twenty years she has successfully arbitrated and tried cases for businesses, individuals and financial institutions, and has assisted many clients in a variety of industries to reach amicable and favorable resolutions to their disputes.

David Ludwig was selected by his peers in the area of business-corporate law for the third time. David has more than 35 years of experience representing small- and mid-sized companies and financial institutions handling complicated business and financial matters. He also handles real estate acquisitions, leasing and financing.  David delivers a wealth of knowledge and experience to our clients in a large variety of transactional matters.

Margot Seitz has been listed for the third time for bankruptcy-business law, and she was previously selected as a Rising Star from 2015-2017. Margot represents parties in all types of insolvency matters. She advises banks, credit unions, equipment finance companies, creditors, trustees, and receivers in bankruptcies, foreclosures, and receivership proceedings.  Margot also advises credit unions on a variety of regulatory and business matters, and assists clients with estate planning matters.  Margot is actively involved in the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section and is currently serving as past chair of the Executive Committee and chair of the Newsletter Committee for that section.
Ward Greene was selected by his peers for inclusion for the sixteenth consecutive year in the area of business litigation.  Ward has a varied transactional and litigation practice with its focus in commercial law, business reorganization, bankruptcy, collections, employment law and real estate matters. Ward has represented a number of creditors’ committees and debtors in successful Chapter 11 cases, as well as represented corporate and banking clients in general business financing and corporate matters. Ward is the founder of SAGE (senior advocates for generational equity) and spends much of his time promoting causes which benefit younger and future generations.

Melissa Chapman has been named to the Oregon Rising Stars list, an honor bestowed on only 2 1/2 percent of the lawyers in the state. Melissa, whose practice focuses on litigation in trust and estate, business, and real estate disputes, has been chosen for the eighth year in a row in the primary area of business litigation as one of the best attorneys in Oregon under the age of 40 or in practice for less than ten years.
We are proud that five of our attorneys in three distinct practice areas have been honored by their peers, highlighting the breadth of expertise in our full-service commercial law practice.   “All of our attorneys are highly-qualified in their practices and deliver exceptional client service each and every day,” says Kim McGair, Farleigh Wada’s Witt’s President.  “This recognition honors these five attorneys, and our firm as a whole.”
