NBTA is a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the quality of trial advocacy and aid in the selection of experienced and highly qualified trial lawyers. NBTA is accredited by the American Bar Association and is the only nationally recognized organization that certifies trial attorneys. The standards set forth by NBTA are challenging and meaningful. In order to become certified as a Civil Trial Advocate a lawyer must pass a rigorous written exam and meet strict criteria. NBTA certification is voluntary and proclaims to the public that the certified lawyer possesses integrity, dedication, and expertise in trial advocacy.
