SIX FWW ATTORNEYS SELECTED AS 2025 OREGON SUPER LAWYERS AND RISING STARS

Farleigh Wada Witt is pleased to announce that six of our attorneys have been named to the Super Lawyers list as top attorneys in Oregon for 2025.  Each year, only five percent of the lawyers in the state are recognized by their peers as Super Lawyers.
     
Kim McGair was selected by her peers for inclusion for the seventh time in the area of business litigation.  Kim litigates a wide array of matters, including business disputes, consumer law defense, personal injury defense, real estate litigation, employment defense, and commercial collection. Over the past twenty-five years she has successfully arbitrated and tried cases for businesses, individuals, and financial institutions, and has assisted many clients in a variety of industries to reach amicable and favorable resolutions to their disputes. Kim also regularly serves as an arbitrator in business and real estate disputes. 

Margot Seitz has been listed for the sixth time for bankruptcy-business law, and she was previously selected as a Rising Star from 2015-2017. Margot represents parties in all types of insolvency matters. She advises banks, credit unions, equipment finance companies, creditors and receivers in state and federal court.  Margot also advises credit unions on a variety of regulatory and business matters, and assists clients with estate planning and administration.  Margot is actively involved in the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section.  She is currently a member of the Editorial Board and is a past officer of the Executive Committee for that section.
  
Ward Greene was selected by his peers for inclusion for the nineteenth consecutive year in the area of business litigation.  Ward has a varied transactional and litigation practice with its focus in commercial law, business reorganization, bankruptcy, collections, employment law and real estate matters. Ward has represented a number of creditors’ committees and debtors in successful Chapter 11 cases, as well as represented corporate and banking clients in general business financing and corporate matters. Ward is the founder of SAGE (senior advocates for generational equity) and spends much of his time promoting causes which benefit younger and future generations.

Melissa Chapman has been listed for the second time for estate planning and probate law, and she was previously selected as a Rising Star from 2014-2022. She practices in a variety of areas including estate planning and administration, commercial and estate litigation, business and real estate law. Melissa specializes in probate and trust administration and related litigation, estate planning, and conservatorships and guardianships. She previously served on the Executive Committee and was Chair for the Business Litigation Section of the Oregon State Bar, the Events Planning Committee for the Multnomah Bar Association, the Portland Committee of the University of Oregon Law School Alumni Association, and the Associates Committee for the Campaign for Equal Justice. 

Kelley Hodney has been named to the Oregon Rising Stars list, an honor bestowed on only 2 1/2 percent of the lawyers in the state. Kelley, whose practice focuses on financial services, has been chosen for the third time in the primary area of banking as one of the best attorneys in Oregon under the age of 40 or in practice for less than ten years.  With a background in banking and business, Kelley brings considerable experience and working knowledge in the areas of consumer and commercial law relevant to assisting financial institutions on matters related to regulatory compliance and operations.

Megan Oshiro has been named to the Oregon Rising Stars list, an honor bestowed on only 2 1/2 percent of the lawyers in the state. She has been chosen for the second time in the primary area of business and corporate law as one of the best attorneys in Oregon under the age of 40 or in practice for less than ten years. Megan supports the firm’s business and financial services practices. She is Treasurer of the Oregon State Bar Diversity Section, President-elect of the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and Secretary of the Oregon State Bar Client Security Fund committee.
