FOUR FWW ATTORNEYS SELECTED AS 2023 OREGON SUPER LAWYERS AND RISING STARS

8/10/2023

Farleigh Wada Witt is pleased to announce that four of our attorneys have been named to the Super Lawyers list as top attorneys in Oregon for 2023.  Each year, only five percent of the lawyers in the state are recognized by their peers as Super Lawyers.

Kim McGair was selected by her peers for inclusion for the fifth time in the area of business litigation; she was also previously selected as a Rising Star in 2008, and 2010-2013. Kim litigates a wide array of matters, including business disputes, consumer law defense, personal injury defense, real estate litigation, employment law, and commercial collection. Over the past twenty years she has successfully arbitrated and tried cases for businesses, individuals and financial institutions, and has assisted many clients in a variety of industries to reach amicable and favorable resolutions to their disputes.

Margot Seitz has been listed for the fourth time for bankruptcy-business law, and she was previously selected as a Rising Star from 2015-2017. Margot represents parties in all types of insolvency matters. She advises banks, credit unions, equipment finance companies, creditors and receivers in state and federal court.  Margot also advises credit unions on a variety of regulatory and business matters, and assists clients with estate planning and administration.  Margot is actively involved in the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section.  She is currently a member of the Editorial Board and is a past officer of the Executive Committee for that section.

Ward Greene was selected by his peers for inclusion for the seventeenth consecutive year in the area of business litigation.  Ward has a varied transactional and litigation practice with its focus in commercial law, business reorganization, bankruptcy, collections, employment law and real estate matters. Ward has represented a number of creditors’ committees and debtors in successful Chapter 11 cases, as well as represented corporate and banking clients in general business financing and corporate matters. Ward is the founder of SAGE (senior advocates for generational equity) and spends much of his time promoting causes which benefit younger and future generations.

Kelley Hodney has been named to the Oregon Rising Stars list, an honor bestowed on only 2 1/2 percent of the lawyers in the state. Kelley, whose practice focuses on financial services, has been chosen for the first time in the primary area of banking as one of the best attorneys in Oregon under the age of 40 or in practice for less than ten years.  With a background in banking and business, Kelley brings considerable experience and working knowledge in the areas of consumer and commercial law relevant to assisting financial institutions on matters related to regulatory compliance and operations.

We are proud that four of our attorneys in three distinct practice areas have been honored by their peers, highlighting the breadth of expertise in our full-service commercial law practice. “While we are honored by the recognition of these four attorneys, all of our attorneys are highly-qualified and deliver exceptional client service each and every day,” says Kim McGair, Farleigh Wada’s Witt’s President.  “We pride ourselves on putting our clients at the center of our practice – our goals are their goals,” she continued. “This recognition honors these four attorneys, and also our firm as a whole.”
